Update

Its been awhile since i have posted anything on here and decided i should sit down and just do it instead of thinking about it.

Work at the college has been going great. The semester started 12 February with a block class on Minor Prophets taught by Pastor Craig Muri. It was great to meet him and hear him preach in our church. There are 3 new students from Kenya and 2 new students from southern Zambia. There are a couple other new students from our own community. It is awesome to see the men and one lady God has brought to the college. Last week for chapel we took the opportunity to all go up to the new college campus. They were pouring the last slab for the second story. It was amazing to see how far along it has come. It is still in need of the whole second story to be built so please be in prayer about that. As soon as the first floor is complete we will move the classes up to the building. Our goal is to be in the new building by next term which starts in July.

The library is slowly coming along. There are still roughly 3,000 books that need to be cataloged in the computer system. I have been working on assigning the dewey decimal number to the 2,000 books that are already at the college. It is very tedious work that seems to take me hours to do. I am hoping that in the next couple of weeks i will be able to get all the books assigned and labels attached and filed correctly on the shelf.

Concerning TRACS accreditation, there will be a TRACS representative coming to Zambia from 25 -29 March. During that time he will be meeting with Phil and Steve and determing whether or not it will work to become accredited through TRACS. Please pray for us during this time that we will have everything in order and that things will go smoothly.

Just a little something that happened today. A student from the school came to get me to tell me there was a snake. I went out and found that the snake was right outside my house near the baptistry!! It was just a baby python and so it wasn't too big... but i am a little nervous as to where the mother is????

Yesterday was Youth Day. The youth from our church and a couple other churches met at the ball field to play some games. There was volleyball, basketball, and soccer. I played on the girls volleyball team and we won!! It was very exciting because usually Riverside loses, we even lost a month ago when we played the same church!
Thank you all so much for your prayers and letters. It is always so encouraging to know that there are people at home praying for me!!!

Hey Bri! Just wanted to let you know that people are still reading your blog!

Did you hear that Adam Cabrera moved in with your brother? The first night he was there his Durango got stolen and stripped down! Just happened a few days ago, crazy area apparently.

Keep having fun in Africa and good luck with that whole Dewey thing.
